They have technology that is already proven in the sky, making them a leading contender to dominate the space.They're at a critical inflection point as they move through certification and commercialisation. We need a Lead Engineer to own the hybrid powertrain unit, integrating the reciprocating engine, electric motor/generator, and auxiliary equipment.This is a rare opportunity to get in early, make your mark and take ownership of a powertrain system that will fundamentally change how the world flies.You will be:Owning the firewall-forward fluid, thermal and structural auxiliary equipment through to commercial readiness.Designing, building and running powertrain test fixtures - standalone bench and on-wing configs.Setting up and managing instrumentation across the powertrain system, to build out test stand GUIs.Executing dynamometer and thermal management testing, then owning the data analysis and certification reporting.Feeding directly into commercial certification reviewsYou must have:A solid background in aviation reciprocating engine systems - you must know these inside out.Powertrain integration or test environment within aerospace.Proven track record running dynamometer and thermal management test programmes.Working knowledge of high-voltage and high-power systems and safety requirements.Direct experience on aviation certification programmes for powertrain systems.Background in electric/reciprocating/gas turbine powertrain engineering.Hands-on work with vibration testing and data systems.Degree educated in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or a related engineering discipline.If you want to be a foundational member of a team that is actively redefining aviation, let's chat.
