Job SummaryThe Driver Associate will be responsible for operating a company-owned delivery truck to deliver materials and finished products to customers within the local area. S/he will also be required to load and unload merchandise and assist with general warehouse duties. Out trucks are Isuzu 16-foot stake beds, all Class C trucks. Class A or B license is not necessary, however helpful.What We Have To Offer YouWe have a competitive wage and benefit package that include Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Sick Leave, Paid Time Off, Employee Assistance Program, Identity Guard, Legal Assistance, Mental Health Assistance, Volunteer Time Off, Paid Parental Leave, and a 401(k) Plan with a company match.Essential Functions/Job RequirementsStaging merchandise for outgoing shipment and loading and unloading merchandise on delivery trucksAssisting Branch Manager and co-workers in performing assigned tasks, including ensuring the warehouse and shipping areas are neat and orderly and all equipment is kept in safe and efficient conditionExercising and promoting safe behaviors and showing unyielding support of programs, rules and policies regarding safety; reporting accidents in accordance with company policyKeeping the Branch Manager informed of shortages, overloads, damaged merchandise, and inventory controlOperating a company-owned and leased vehicle safely while delivering materials, products, and parts to customers and jobsitesFollowing traffic laws at all timesObtaining signatures on delivery and pick-up invoices or signed slipsFollowing assigned scheduling and routing of deliveries; making deliveries in a timely manner as scheduledFollowing maintenance schedule for truck services and repairs; taking vehicle for service when instructed to do soReporting any mechanical problems to Branch Manager and maintaining vehicle in a neat and clean conditionFollowing all company policies and remaining courteous and service-minded while dealing with other employees and customersOther duties as assigned by managementAttending department meetings and trainings as requestedQualificationsMust possess a valid TX driver's license and have a clean driving record or able to obtain a TX drivers license. Following a conditional offer of employment, a motor vehicle record will be conducted.Must be 23 years of age or overA minimum of two years driving experience over; 16ft trucks, forklifts, and man liftsMust be familiar with the Dallas-Fortworth area and have the ability to read directions and use street maps to plot delivery routeMust be physically able to lift up to 50lbs in order to load and deliver packagesMust be a dependable worker with the ability to carry out a series of work instructions without constant supervisionMust be proficient in computer and general internet usageMust be able to create a positive working relationship with employees and customersMust be able to work independently and using effective problem-solving skills to resolve issuesMay be required to work some Saturdays for inventoryMust have forklift experience or willing to be trainedJob Type: Full-timeStarting Range: $22.58 - $26.36 plus bonus compensationSchedule: Monday - Friday, Day shiftDriver's License (Required)Important NotesPCS Is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug-Free workplace.
