Environmental Compliance Specialist

Job Description We have an immediate need for an Environmental Compliance Specialist in the Santa Clara and Fremont areas. This position requires oversight and implementation of biological, archaeological, and safety compliance on the jobsite. Position is a long-term part-time position, two full days per week. Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for reviewing project documents and evaluating requirementsReview and document if any protect bird species, nests, and buffers are presentConduct daily field inspections to ensure all compliance is metResponsible for submitting daily inspection reports along with required photos to stakeholdersAbility to conduct training providing daily environmental updatesHave a clear understanding and coordinate with construction team determining the planned work activity along with any construction change ordersMay attend construction meetings as required Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, Anthropology, Archaeology or related field7 plus of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationExperience conducting construction compliance monitoring along with demonstrated experience evaluating habitat suitability and identifying special-status wildlife in the Bay AreaKnowledge and ability to identify general native and non-native plant and animal speciesClear understanding of state and federal laws regarding the protection of species and habitatsKnowledge of permit application requirementsExcellent communication skills with detailed documentation with exceptional organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office to include ExcelValid US Driver's license required Compensation based on experience (Environmental, Compliance, Monitor, Biology, Archaeologist, Ecology, Construction, Field, Species, Habitat)Company DescriptionAbout us:347 Group, Inc. provides staffing resources to a variety of industries.
