Job Title: Epicor Resource/Machine Shop Scheduler Position Type: Full-TimeReports To: Vice President of Operations Shift: 1stDepartment: Manufacturing FLSA Status: ExemptLocation: Indianapolis EEO Job: ProfessionalSummaryThis position will be an integral member of a dynamic team tasked with developing and managing the ERP system schedule for a high paced manufacturing machine shop. This strategic role is responsible for working collaboratively with all functions of the business to ensure that all systems, schedules, and resources are effectively produced with the highest level of focus being placed on quality. This position will require an individual who can think quickly and can adapt to sudden and dramatic customer changes utilizing available forecasting tools. The position will require a very high level of precise communication so that all departments are aware of operational needs and schedule.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAdhere to company safety rules/policiesAnalyzes machine and job router specifications to determine available machines for fastest and highest quality schedule.Analyzes available personnel, hours, correct tooling and fixturing, etc. is in place for each job router to avoid any delays while parts are on machine.Responsible for implementation and management of Epicor ERP schedule at all times.Track and update progress of manufacturing operations including updating the scheduling software with progress, changes, and other pertinent dataResponsible for transferring manufacturing plans into ERP system and manufacturing scheduling softwareReviews and releases production jobs to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the ERP systemWill collaborate with the Business Development Team to provide available capacity for potential new orders, identify resource capacity conflicts, and to maintain OTD requirementsLog and address recurring issues and determine appropriate resolution as a continuous improvement initiativeRequirementsHigh School Diploma requiredPrevious Manufacturing Experience in Job Shop EnvironmentPrevious work experience with Epicor or similar MRP/ERP software is preferredStrong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Project)Strong oral, written and technical communication skillsMust be self-directed, and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlinesMust be highly motivated and be comfortable operating independently as well as within a team environmentMust be customer-focused and able to work with customers and understand/react to their needsMust have high levels of attention to detail, be able to multi-task and stay organizedMust demonstrate the ability to act professionallyPhysical RequirementsActivityCont. 100%Freq. 66%Occas. 33%NeverClimbing Stairs/LaddersXBending/ StoopingXStandingXWalkingXSittingXWorking Around MachineryXReaching Above the WaistXOperating EquipmentXPushing/PullingXCarrying/Lifting XCarrying/Lifting XCarrying/Lifting XKneelingXRepetitive MotionXOperate Motor VehicleXFine Finger and Hand DexterityXGraspingXCompensation details: 50000-90000 Yearly SalaryPIbe10e3cb83a6-35196-35740459
