Description:
This position is for a Junior Software Developer (JavaScript) to provide programming support for an internal suite of collaboration websites and applications for a DHS contract at the Transportation Security Laboratory. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to work as part of a varied team of government personnel, information technology specialists, and other professionals.
The Junior Software Developer must have a strong foundation of software development with experience using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This position will report to the Senior SharePoint Developer and will interact with other teammates and customers to manage and execute parallel development tasks to completion.
The Junior Software Developer will support an internal collaboration portal and develop new features and capabilities and make changes to existing functionality utilizing SharePoint and other development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio. She/he will be expected to work with JavaScript technologies such as AJAX, and jQuery and integrate additional 3rd party APIs as necessary.

Experience with HTML/CSS/AJAX/jQuery coding
Minimum one year experience with REST APIs

Education and Work Experience
Must be a US Citizen
Minimum 2-year degree/certificate in a technical field such as computer science or IT management or 3+ years additional IT experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field desired.
