Lead Analyst

The Lead Analyst serves as a strategic consultant to Sales leadership, clients, and executives by translating complex performance data into clear narratives that optimize growth, profitability, and market performance.Success in this position requires high intellectual rigor and curiosity, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to influence decisions through clear, defensible analysis and insight synthesis.The person in this role will be a valued leader within the greater Analytics Department (The A Team) – an impressive, business-facing group of analysts who influence high-stakes decisions in an environment that offers meaningful career progression.The BasicsLocation: HQ Office - Newport Beach, CA (Hybrid, 2 days on site) Compensation: $125,000-$155,000/year, commensurate with experience + bonus potentialIn accordance with applicable law, the compensation range listed above reflects our good faith estimate of the expected salary for this role at the time of posting. Travel: Up to 5% What You’ll DoDrive commercial strategy for assigned accounts through deep-dive sales and financial analyses, acting as the primary source of truth to Sales Teams, Senior Client Stakeholders, and ExecutivesLeverage advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to aggregate, transform, and analyze large datasetsBuild financial models, including pro forma P&Ls, incentive structures, and scenario analysesLead Sales performance reporting by managing and validating large, complex datasets to ensure accurate, consistent KPIs, pipeline health, conversion, churn, and quota attainmentBuild interactive dashboards in Tableau to visualize performance for use in consulting with and enabling Sales Representatives to identify market opportunities that maximize profitability and earnings potentialDevelop ad hoc reports as requested by leadershipAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support team and organizational prioritiesWhat You’ll Bring5+ years of experience in data analytics supporting Sales teams, franchise models, or distributed business environmentsProven ability to communicate insights clearly and confidently, including presenting to internal and external executive (C-suite) stakeholdersAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience aggregating, validating, and analyzing large, complex datasetsAdvanced proficiency in Tableau, including calculated fields and Level of Detail (LOD) expressionsStrong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and operational analysisAbility to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive clarity in complex, deadline environmentsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related fieldSmart Circle International is a leading broker of outsourced sales and customer acquisition services.
