Veterinary Services/Veterinary Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Summary: Shift: 8 hours during business hours, example would be (but not limited to) 7am - 4pm, 8am - 5pm. Work Mode: Onsite Location: All company facilities, based at Parnassus Responsibilities: Assist veterinarian or senior AHT with animal medications and examinations Conduct simple health assessments and report to veterinarian and/or senior AHT Assist with veterinary technical procedures under direct supervision, such as blood collection and animal anesthesia Assist with preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical areas, necropsy room, treatment areas, and surgical and other technical supplies Assist with animal husbandry duties as assigned Assist with animal necropsy and tissue collection Assist with records keeping and data analysis for company projects Other technical and administrative duties of similar complexity as assigned Requirements: Experience in clinical animal work as a veterinary assistant or licensed veterinary technician Competence in health assessment, basic handling of various species, anesthesia monitoring and surgery assistance, intubation, injections, venipuncture, placement of IV catheters Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Understanding of the requirement to adhere to approved Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee protocols Preferred Skills: Background in laboratory animal skills and knowledge in a medical direction Desire to progress in skills and knowledge in the lab animal setting AXEL01
