In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our large fleet of trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment.You'll join a staff of 4 other mechanics with a large 4-bay fully equipped service & repair shop, and play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely!Hittle Landscaping is a family owned business headquartered in Westfield along with 3 additional branches serving central Indiana for over 50 years! Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all vehicles and machinery. Keep accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work with operations and field crews to schedule and prioritize repairs. Ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.What You Need to Succeed: Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally in construction or similar industries.(3+ years’ experience preferred) Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, diesel and gas-powered equipment. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams. Basic welding and fabrication skills a plus. Valid driver’s license (for field service calls). Ability to lift 45+ lbs. for typical shop environment. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
