ETC - Maintenance Supervisor
Supervises and manages all Maintenance activities related to Centrifuge Assembly Building production processes and equipment. Maintains industrial and nuclear safety as the highest priority. In addition, oversee and manage equipment maintenance programs and calibration activities to ensure no impact to quality of product and production. Ensures operationally-focused program areas meet quality standards and are on budget and on schedule. Education and Experience Minimum:5 years in a manufacturing/production environment with at least one year of supervisory experience. Experience in implementing progressive, team oriented management philosophiesPreferred:B.S. degree or higher in business or science/engineering.7 years in a manufacturing/production environment with at least three years of supervisory experience. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as neededSecurity Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and Q level security clearance is requiredWork Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.Working Conditions (relates to physical environment):Work time is split between office and production work areas. Operating cascade are high noise and elevated temperature areas. Incumbent may be required to climb or use equipment to reach elevated work areas.Physical Demands:Incumbent will spend significant time in the office with minimal physical demands. Incumbent will periodically be required to take long walks, climb multiple stairs and stand for extended periods. Incumbent will be required to wear safety protective equipment as requiredPosition Interacts With (internal and external contacts):The incumbent will routinely interface with other ETC USA Senior Managers, Operations' personnel, and UUSA personnel. The incumbent will be a principle contact for internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies. The incumbent will need to establish working relationships with his European counterparts. The incumbent may be called upon to participate in activities externally representing ETC USA.Accountable for the interface between ETC USA and ETC for all matters concerning operations and engineering, including interfaces between:ETC design office, Design and Build Team (D&B)Centrifuge Design Management (CDM)Primary FunctionsMaintains a workplace where industrial and nuclear safety is the number one priority including ensuring safety protocol is followed for all team activitiesPromotes a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE)Manage and supervise Maintenance technicians:Approve hourly employee time sheetsApprove employee paid time offPerform employee performance reviewsManage all training and qualifications for team personnelManage, coordinate, and organize all maintenance operations up-to-and including after hours and weekend on-call support during all production operations, including the following:Coordinates and performs unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs to systems to maintain established centrifuge production schedulesEstablish work schedule to support assembly production goalsMonitor Maintenance Cost Center budgetMaintain preventive maintenance program for equipmentMaintain calibration program for required tools and equipmentTechnically-driven support of classification of mediaComply with all production planning, regulations, and instructions as set forth by ETC and ETC USAManage, coordinate, and organize development and continual improvement of working procedures and manufacturing documentation for operations, logistics, and engineering personnel including the following:Procedures in support of operations; centrifuge assembly and installationProcedures in support of adherence to OSHA safety regulations and other industrial safety best-practicesProcedures in support of the 10 CFR 70.72 evaluation processProcedures in support of developing standards for measuring and test equipment calibrationEnsure production techniques are implemented and updated in accordance with the approved centrifuge reference design and ETC standardsProvide assistance in solving challenges and problems associated with technique, operational strategies, maintenance, line engineering, logistics, and quality.Manage choices regarding the number and type of production resources including selection of team membersManages local efforts in carrying out the necessary analysis and calculations to resolve production, maintenance, and technical issuesCommunicates with co-workers, management, and other in a courteous and professional mannerMaintain close communication with ETC's functional organization in realizing operational, design, process improvements, equipment maintenance, and process equipment maintenanceSupports a safe work environment.Supports a Safety Conscious Work Environment.May assist/perform shop floor engineering/maintenance/production functionsOther Job Tasks:Assist in development and monitoring of Key Performance IndexesCross train personnel to provide redundancy for required tasksPerform routine performance evaluations for staffIn a small organization the incumbent may be required to support other job functions including productionComplete and maintain Department of Energy Authorized Derivative Classifier (ADC) qualificationComplete and maintain 10 CFR Part 70.72 evaluation qualificationOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsFor Benefits Information click here *Please note that we continually evaluate our plans and make adjustments as necessary to meet market and business requirements.
