Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting month-end close processes, and contributing to financial reporting and operational improvements. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesMaintain general ledger integrity by independently reviewing financial transactions to ensure accurate posting; prepare and post journal entries as needed.Lead and complete month-end close processes in 3E, including preparation of:Trial balanceBalance sheetIncome statementCash flow statementOther required financial reportsPrepare detailed reconciliations and supporting schedules.Assist with banking documentation and related financial reporting requirements.Prepare tax schedules and support partnership tax reporting (partnership tax experience preferred).Participate in annual audits and special-purpose audits.Develop and document financial department procedures.Identify and implement process improvements, technological upgrades, and other efficiency initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Accounting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.7–10+ years of accounting experience in a law firm or professional services firm.Experience with 3E (Elite 3E) accounting system.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial data analysis.Demonstrated ability to compile, review, and analyze financial statements from trial balance.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively across teams.Law firm experience is preferred but not necessary.Stradley Ronon offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, vision, dental, and prescription drug coverage; health savings account (with applicable medical plan); flexible spending accounts; life insurance; short- and long-term disability coverage; and 401(k).
