The Civil Associate will support the planning, design, and analysis of bridge and transportation structures. This role offers the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team delivering practical, high‑quality engineering solutions for a variety of bridge projects. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically capable, and eager to continue professional growth toward PE licensure.What You’ll DoPerform structural analysis and design of bridge systems and componentsPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentationAssist in the development of bridge plans, details, and specificationsSupport bridge inspections, load ratings, and rehabilitation design as neededCoordinate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teamsApply AASHTO, DOT, and industry standards to bridge design tasksSupport project delivery while meeting schedule, quality, and budget expectationsWhat You Need To SucceedBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringEngineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification requiredMinimum of 2 years of bridge or structural engineering experienceFamiliarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and LADOTD Bridge Design and Evaluation ManualFamiliarity with drafting plans in MicroStation or OpenBridgeFamiliarity with LEAP Bridge and AASHTOWare BrR preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team‑oriented environmentCompensationThe approximate compensation range for this position $65,000 - $90,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
