General ForemanLocation: Clayton, NCCompensation: $34 - $46 per hour + BenefitsCompany OverviewOur client is a specialized industrial construction firm focused on cleanroom environments and high-specification projects. Their work demands precision, discipline, and strict adherence to safety and contamination control standards. Projects are typically large-scale, long-duration builds, supported by structured field leadership and a strong emphasis on team development and training.Position OverviewThe General Foreman is a high-impact field leadership role, operating at a level comparable to a superintendent in terms of responsibility and ownership. This individual will oversee multiple foremen, coordinate daily field execution, and ensure that all work aligns with strict cleanroom, safety, and quality standards.This is not a task-only leadership role. The company is intentionally seeking someone who can coach, teach, and develop crews, bringing clarity to execution and elevating team performance across the job site. You will play a central role in translating drawings into execution, coordinating materials and workforce, and maintaining alignment between field teams, project management, and site leadership.This role typically oversees 2 to 3 foremen, each managing crews of approximately 5 to 15 workers, across large industrial job sites.Key ResponsabilitiesLead and coordinate field operations across multiple crews and foremen in an industrial cleanroom environment.Plan daily work activities, sequencing, and material coordination to maintain schedule and productivity.Oversee installation processes, ensuring adherence to cleanroom standards, contamination control, and environmental protocols.Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and QA/QC requirements.Drive a strong safety culture, leading toolbox talks, enforcing OSHA standards, and proactively mitigating risks.Use Procore to manage daily logs, time tracking, drawings, and field documentationRead and interpret drawings, and translate technical requirements into clear, actionable guidance for crews.Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, subcontractors, and internal teams.Mentor and develop foremen and craft labor, fostering a structured, high-performance, and safety-first work environment.Maintain accurate reporting on manpower, progress, and material tracking.QualificationsRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in construction, including leadership experience as a Foreman or General Foreman.Bilingual English and Spanish.Proven experience leading crews and managing multiple scopes or teams simultaneously.Strong industrial construction background with a solid understanding of safety standards and field operations.Proficiency with Procore.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.OSHA 30 certification (current or recent strongly preferred; company may assist with renewal if needed).Willingness to travel or relocate based on project needs.Preferred QualificationsExperience in cleanroom construction or controlled environments (major differentiator and highly prioritized).Experience managing multiple foremen and large-scale crews.Proficiency with Bluebeam.Exposure to ISN (safety platforms) and Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.).Journeyman-level carpentry or hands-on trade knowledge.Work Environment & CompensationBase Salary: $34 – $46 USD per hour (depending on experience).Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending account (FSA) options.Location: Clayton, NC.Schedule: Full-time, field-based role in active construction environments.If you are an experienced construction leader looking to step into a role with real ownership, team-building responsibility, and exposure to high-standard cleanroom environments, we encourage you to apply.
