At Keolis, you're not just building a career — your part of something bigger.The Machinist (Diesel Mechanic) repairs and maintains heavy equipment and roadway machinery at construction sites.Rate: $38.16/hrExperienceMust have high school diploma, GED or equivalent educational credentialFive years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanicWelding experienceMust have a Valid Driver’s License - DOT Medical Card, Hoisting License. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferredKnowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems, and pneumatic systems as it pertains to the operation and maintenance of roadway machineryKey AccountabilitiesEnsure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)Troubleshoot and perform heavy repairs to all types of equipment components including gas and diesel engines, transmissions and differentials, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, various work heads, booms, electrical systems, and conveyor belt systemSolve work related problems, make decisions, and provide instructions Understand mechanical operations of machineryDrive heavy duty service truck, including truck mounted craneOther duties as assigned during emergenciesOther RequirementsEmployment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
