Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant Address: Louisville, KY Job Description Pick and pack individual prescription orders for direct to patient shipment. Follow on-screen prompts to ensure orders are picked and packed according to specifications. Maintain attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Perform warehouse operations such as packing prescriptions and maintaining workflow to meet production goals. Adhere to federal and state HIPAA laws and pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety. Recognize and escalate issues to management when necessary. Critical Information Onsite, M-F, 2PM-10:30PM Mandatory overtime may be required to complete the workload. Education/Licenses Needed KY Board of Pharmacy Technician License (to be obtained at own expense). Pharmacy Assistant certification. Tdavis@alinestaffing.com 469-342-1411 Assisting with the flow of prescriptions through the pharmacy Restock the pharmacy picking areas Remove discontinued medication from pharmacy return bin and return to pharmacy Perform general pharmacy and facility Maintain pharmacy files and inventory Supervise clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Provide support on the new pharmacy software Return all expired items to the pharmacy Ask appropriate questions in regards to pharmacy counseling Send a report on the status of the pharmacy Participate in on-call responsibilities of the pharmacy department Assist pharmacy staff in a range of supportive duties consistent with goals, policies and procedure of the pharmacy Maintain a high level of accuracy on consumer insurance information Participate in professional pharmacy organization(s) at the local and national levels to be aware of pharmacy developments Notify pharmacy team members when there is a waiter and track the progress of the prescriptions in workflow Act as a resource for pharmacy technical and professional staff Process more than 10,000 orders per day Assist pharmacy staff in a range of supportive duties consistent with goals, policies and procedure of the pharmacy Assist the pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services Report 2 times per day on status of pharmacy
