This role plays a direct part in shaping how our brands look, sound, and connect with people. About the Role Hiker Trailers is looking for a hands on Marketing and Content Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Indiana. This is an on site, execution focused role for a creative marketer who enjoys wearing multiple hats including content creation, video, design, social media, and brand storytelling. This role is ideal for someone with three to six years of marketing or content experience who understands branding and marketing fundamentals but prefers doing the work rather than managing agencies or living in spreadsheets. You will work closely with leadership to bring our brands to life through consistent visuals, engaging video, and compelling content across digital, retail, e commerce, and event channels. What You Will Be Responsible For Content and Copy Create and manage content for social media, website pages, blog posts, and email newsletters Write clear, engaging copy aligned with brand tone and voice Assist with campaign concepts and creative ideas Graphic Design Create basic marketing graphics using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar Design assets for social posts, email marketing, flyers, signage, and printed materials Maintain consistent use of brand colors, fonts, and layouts Video Production Plan, shoot, and edit video content in house Operate basic camera, lighting, and sound equipment Edit content for social media, website, and marketing campaigns Cut longer footage into short, engaging clips Social Media Management Manage day to day social media posting and scheduling Maintain a consistent posting cadence across platforms Monitor engagement and assist with responses when needed Additional Areas of Support Advertising Support Assist with digital ad execution and optimization Help implement ad creative, copy variations, and campaign ideas Support ad strategy through content creation and performance feedback Dealer and Remote Showroom Support Create printed and digital marketing materials for remote showrooms and dealer partners Support cross promotions and co branded materials Ensure brand consistency across all dealer facing assets Deer Creek Outdoor Gear E Commerce Assist with product photography and visual assets Support marketing campaigns, launches, and promotions Help maintain consistent branding and presentation across the online store Trade Shows and Events Assist with trade show planning and preparation Help manage booth graphics, signage, and marketing materials Attend select trade shows as a brand representative supporting sales and customer engagement Capture photo and video content at events for marketing use What We Are Looking For Required Experience and Skills Three to six years of experience in marketing, content creation, or a related role Experience with graphic design and content creation Video shooting and editing experience Strong writing and communication skills Understanding of branding, tone, voice, and design principles Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Comfortable working on site and collaborating with a small team Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows or events Nice to Have Photography experience Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Klaviyo Familiarity with digital advertising platforms Basic understanding of analytics and content performance Experience with product based, outdoor, or lifestyle brands What This Role Is and Is Not This is a hands on, creative, execution focused role This role offers variety, ownership, and room to grow This role touches content, brand, retail, e commerce, and events This is not a director or management role This is not agency style client work This is not a purely social media posting role How to Apply and Work Samples To help us better understand your experience and creative style, please include samples of past work with your application.
