You will develop and deploy servers, support daily operations, and protect data and system integrity. The position provides back-end IT support for key business and development teams. You will lead infrastructure modernization, drive cloud adoption, automate processes, and manage core systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.What You'll Be DoingManage Microsoft, Linux, VMware, and Azure resourcesInstall and configure Windows serversSupport users and ensure reliable server performanceOversee virtualization (VMware Server/ESX)Maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructureApply expertise in Application Insights, Azure services, Databricks and DevOpsProvide technical support and resolve server-related issuesDebug and maintain Windows programs for end usersReview backups, error logs, and resolve system errorsMonitor and optimize performance, set proactive alertsMaintain system security and address vulnerabilitiesEnsure compliance with IT standards and policiesParticipate in troubleshooting, on-call, and after-hours supportHow You'll SucceedUse troubleshooting and technical skills to resolve issues and ensure compliance with standardsThink critically to improve solutions and challenge existing processesCommunicate technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholdersApply analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skillsCollaborate effectively to support team success and growthBuild strong relationships, lead discussions, and drive problem resolutionWho You AreYou demonstrate 8 years of experience in Windows administration and at least 2 years working with Azure. You are known for your flexibility, reliability, and collaborative approach.Skilled in Windows/Linux administration and virtualization (VMware)Azure certification preferred; experience with Azure, Windows Server, and DevOpsFamiliar with monitoring tools and backup/disaster recovery- Rubrik, Azure backup vaultAutomation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell/Bash scripting.Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and documentation skillsCalifornia residents - your privacy rights regarding your actual or prospective employmentAt CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000- $140,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
