Facility Plant Engineer
Title: Facility Plant EngineerLocation: Ohio Duration: 12 Months ContractTarget Start Date: Middle of SeptemberDescription:Lead planning, optimization, and continuous improvement of site-wide HVAC, utility, and energy systems.Provide technical leadership for system operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and performance optimization.Support the design, specification, construction, startup, validation, commissioning, and handoff of new equipment and infrastructure.Lead mid-level complexity projects and track delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.Collaborate with engineering leadership, external engineering firms, vendors, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders.Support compliance, inspections, regulatory interactions, validated systems, as-built documentation, and system records.Contribute to infrastructure master planning, energy management, sustainability initiatives, and lifecycle cost optimization.Participate in regular onsite attendance and a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule as needed.Skills/Background:HVAC, utility, and energy systems engineering.Experience with air handling units, dust collection, purified water, compressed air, nitrogen, chilled and hot water, steam, municipal water and sewer, and purchased utilities.System design, commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.Project management, including scope, schedule, budget, and business value tracking.Root cause analysis, incident investigation, and data-driven problem solving.Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.Compliance management, inspections, engineering standards, as-built documentation, and validated systems.Energy efficiency, sustainability, emerging technologies, and lifecycle cost optimization.External engineering firm and vendor coordination.Education Requirements:Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of related experience; orBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience; orMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 3+ years of related experience.Three or more years of pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
