Title: Senior DeltaV Batch Process Automation EngineerLocation: Raleigh, NCPOSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly experienced DeltaV Batch Process Automation Engineer with deep expertise in life sciences manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of DeltaV-based batch automation systems — from concept and design through commissioning, qualification, and ongoing support — at pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and nutraceutical facilities. This role requires a blend of strong technical DCS/batch engineering skills, instrumentation and integration to various digital solutions, such as SCADA, Historian & MES systems and thorough working knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing life science process control.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESBatch System Design & EngineeringDevelop and configure DeltaV Batch (S88 / ISA-88) recipes, unit procedures, and equipment phases for pharmaceutical, biotech, and nutraceutical processes.Author Batch Executive logic, Batch Process Control Language (BPCL), and associated Phase Logic within the DeltaV environment.Design and implement DeltaV control modules (CMs), equipment modules (EMs), and I/O configurations per project P&IDs and instrument lists.Lead front-end engineering studies (FEED) and produce Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), and Software Design Specifications (SDS).Commissioning, Qualification & Validation (CQV)Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols.Author and review validation documentation in accordance with GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.Coordinate with QA and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure audit-ready documentation packages; support client inspections and responses to observations.Manage electronic batch records (EBR) configuration, audit trails, and e-signatures within DeltaV Batch Historian, Syncade and or similar MES applications.
