Warehouse Manager
Job Summary:This position will manage the daily operations of the Warehouse department, which includes Shipping, Receiving, Packaging, and Material Handling at two manufacturing plants (next to each other) and a local off-site warehouse. The successful applicant will maintain elevated levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the Warehouse team and will enforce all company rules and regulations while promoting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.Job Duties: Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates. Maintains company’s quality standards. Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements. Build and lead a team proficient in the Transcendia ERP system, lean manufacturing tools, customer systems, and supply chain processes to consistently deliver the right material, at the right time, in the right quantity, at the right cost. Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary. Assists with continuous and process improvement initiatives. Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards. Ensure excellent customer service and communication. Interfaces with outside vendors, contractors and customers in support of warehouse objectives Manage inventory cycle counts for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, packaging supplies, and consumables. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred; or three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Five years plus experience in a warehouse supervisory role Able to deal properly with sensitive and confidential information. Ability to effectively develop people and lead a team. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be dedicated to continuous improvement. Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task. Prior forklift experience preferred. Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors.
