Special Education Teacher in Timmonsville, SC

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support young learners from Pre-K through 2nd grade at an early childhood center in Lake City, South Carolina. This full-time contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. totaling 37.5 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to promote student success.Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.Qualifications:Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of South Carolina-mandatory.Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, covering Pre-K through 2nd grade.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.Commitment to fostering inclusive education and individualized student support.Location:Lake City Early Childhood Center, Lake City, SCThis role offers a meaningful way to impact young learners' academic and social growth in a supportive school environment.
