Per-diem Direct Support Professionals, Benhaven Respite Center

Benhaven Respite Center is seeking Per Diem Direct Support Professionals. The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will provide care and support to youth ages 8-21 with disabilities in a home like setting. This is a temporary care situation offering families and caregivers weekend relief. The position is on an as-needed basis, serving as a substitute for regular staff members when they are unavailable.Starting Pay: $20-22/hourResponsibilitiesTo build rapport with each respite guest and their family to facilitate a safe, enjoyable, and interactive experience while in respite careMaintain positive relationships with family members.Implement flexible activity schedule and opportunities to try next experiences.Facilitate friendships among respite guestsImplement positive behavioral approaches that are in line with the youth's behavior programRespite DSP will ensure safety for everyone and assist with activities of daily living.Ensure all personal items brought to the respite center by guests are maintained and cleanedComplete required reports using THERAP, ready by shift change.Work in collaboration with the Respite Center manager and respite staff to maintain a clean, safe environmentObtain and maintain the required training, certifications, and driver's license with a clean driving record.Will perform all other job duties as directed by the Respite Center Manager, or other Administrators.
