Additionally, experience with Impella and IABP is preferred. Description: Responsible for assisting physicians with the performance of cardiology-related procedures. Involves diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as left heart cath, right heart cath, PCI, IABP insertion, pericardiocentesis, Swan-Ganz insertion, stress testing, and nuclear stress testing. Will function in multiple areas within cardiology, including the Cath Lab, Stress Lab, and Nuclear Stress Lab. Will serve in various roles such as radiology technologist, documenter, Stress Lab assistant, and Nuclear Stress Lab assistant. Requires knowledge typically acquired through completion of two years of occupationally specific education or an Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a closely related field. Previous experience in the Cath Lab is essential.
