Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and possesses a strong understanding of accounting principles such as debits and credits. The individual will work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy and efficiency in handling various accounting and administrative tasks.Responsibilities:- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable with precision and timeliness.- Handle billing functions and ensure accurate invoicing to clients and vendors.- Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.- Maintain and update accounting systems to support organizational needs.- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with regulations.- Prepare and review financial documents and reports for accuracy.- Support administrative tasks related to the accounting department.- Collaborate with the Controller to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies.- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.- Provide assistance in general bookkeeping tasks as required. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Dynamics GP is a plus.- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively under minimal supervision.- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.- Strong organizational and communication skills.- Reliability and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
