Company DescriptionLocke & Steele Investigative Agency is a fully licensed and insured private investigation and security services firm specializing in providing professional, NYS licensed, armed and unarmed security guards to clients around the Central New York area.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, fill-in role located in the Greater Syracuse-Auburn Area for a Licensed Security Guard. Specifically for those experienced guards looking to get more shifts that may develop into a part-time or full-time position. Those individuals with current positions encouraged to apply. We are developing a pool of professional guards to cover future call-ins, vacations, and event work.The primary responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining physical and personnel security at assigned locations. Tasks will include conducting security patrols, monitoring access points, responding to alarms or incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of people and assets within the assigned premises. Additional tasks may involve maintaining detailed logs and reports, as well as providing customer service to individuals on-site.QualificationsStrong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service experienceProficiency in Physical Security and Personnel Security practicesExperience in Private Security operationsAbility to stay alert and respond effectively in high-pressure situationsEffective communication skills and attention to detailMust possess a valid security guard licensePhysical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periodsHigh school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a security or law enforcement role is a plus
