Job Title: Network Eng IVLocation: Englewood, Colorado, United States (4 days remote, 1 day onsite)Open to relocation but must be here within first monthPay Rate: $50/hour + for level III; $60/hour + for level IVPosition Type: Long term ongoing W2 contractJob Description: Our Fortune 500 client’s Lab Network Engineering team is looking for a Network Eng IV to join the team. This person will assist in the planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems of high complexity. Will be responsible for designing established protocol compatibility standards, developing and implementing network enhancements, and making recommendations for improvement. Responsible for the implementation of network architecture and designs.Top Skills:5+ years of Network Engineer experience within an enterprise level environmentMust have experience building and designing the networkDeep, applied BGP expertise -- autonomous systems, eBGP vs. iBGP, large-scale routing design, and route policy management in a service provider or high-volume peering environmentProficiency with Cisco IOS XR and/or Juniper JunOS; familiarity with Cisco NX-OS (Nexus) and Palo Alto also valuedStrong Layer 2 fundamentals -- STP/Fabric-Path, vPC/MLAG, HSRP/VRRP, VXLAN/EVPN -- applied in production environmentsUnderstanding of firewall architectures and traffic flows, including security rule order of operationsAutomation exposure (Python, Ansible, or similar) for config management at scale -- nice to haveDay to day:Assist in the planning, forecasting, design, and implementation of network systems of high complexity across a 700+ device environment.Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links, and protocols into complete network configurations.Participates in network planning, network architecture design, and engineering.Develops and implements approved methods of procedure (MOP).Performs network problem resolution by providing escalated tier support across organizations and to third-party vendors.Works on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead.Coaches less experienced staff.Adheres to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations as applicable.Knows, understands, and follows company policy.Performs other duties as requested by the manager.Interview process: Webex interview with the hiring manager and then an onsite interview with the teamTeam Size: 7 Network Engineers and 3 Principal Engineers. They are all very tight knit and work closely together.
