Orthodontic Assistant (Part Time or Full Time Options)

Embrace Orthodontics in Odessa is seeking for an orthodontic assistant to join our growing practice. We are currently part time in Odessa (4 days a month) and you will have the potential to become full time if desired once our Independence MO location opens in a couple of months, dividing your time between both locations. This is a unique part time weekends opportunity that can be an alternative to freeing up some time during your week-days. Qualifications: Prior dental assisting required. Orthodontic training is highly encouraged. Handpiece trained is a big plus. Someone who truly enjoy orthodontics and is interested in pursing this career path Someone who understands customer service and treat their patients with attention and care Detail oriented and organized individual Orthodontics is a fast pace profession requiring fast learning and being quick on their feet. Willing to learn new technology and wear many hats Be willing to adapt to new situation, and be willing to be cross trained. Be willing to travel to different office locations if needed Becoming part of patient focused team that is dedicated to creating an unbelievable patient experience This is a part time position that could evolve to full time in the future Bilingual Spanish English is a big plus Good communication skills Dependable, reliable to be at work when scheduled Must love working with children Responsibilities Sterilization Taking records for patients; scan, photos, X-rays, impressions, making retainer, stocking supplies… Setup the patient operatory and equipment prior to patient appointments Cleaning and restocking work area Charting of patient procedures Providing oral Hygiene and appliance instructions Chairside orthodontic assisting; bonding brackets and changing out wires (adjustments) Front desk duty; calling dental offices and patient as needed.
