HOURS: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per weekHourly Rate: $31.96 – $38.96 (AFSCME Unified R9)JOB SUMMARY: Assists in maintaining County owned buildings, grounds, and equipment to preserve the buildings and to provide a safe and healthy environment for employee and clients.Abilities, Knowledge And SkillAbility to follow both verbal and written directionsAbility to read and follow instructions to operate equipmentConsiderable knowledge of electrical systems and components and at least 4 years of working on said systemsPossess and maintain a valid driver’s license, access to dependable transportationPrinciple Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.Repair and maintain the plumbing, heating, electrical, and air-conditioning systems in county owned buildingsMaintain landscapingPerform custodial work as neededMaintain sidewalks i.e., snow and ice removalMaintain exterior of buildingsPaint and recondition officesMaintain daily work recordsOperate power equipmentQualifications / ExperienceHigh school graduate or GED. Must have valid driver’s license.Other RequirementsLicensed Electrician Preferred – 4 years experience.Employment is dependent on background check, criminal history, and drug screen.
