Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Provider Part-Time (With Potential to Transition to Full-Time) Location: On location in Peoria Heights, IL + Hybrid Compensation: $60/hour starting rate, with opportunity for increases based on performance and patient volume --- About the Practice We are a new and growing integrative and functional medicine practice focused on comprehensive, root-cause–based care. Our approach emphasizes in-depth patient evaluations and personalized treatment plans supported by advanced diagnostic testing. Services include root cause analysis, gut health assessment, hormone therapy, metabolic and weight management, and medically guided IV infusion therapy, all delivered within a collaborative, patient-centered clinical model. --- Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Provider to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time as patient volume and clinical demands increase. This role includes providing comprehensive functional medicine as well as evaluating and managing patients receiving IV infusion therapy. The ideal candidate values thoughtful care planning and working within a growing, team-based practice. --- Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive functional medicine initial evaluations and follow-up visits Order, review, and interpret advanced laboratory testing Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating lifestyle, nutrition, supplementation, medications, and IV infusion therapy as appropriate Provide hormone therapy and metabolic/weight management care Evaluate patients for IV infusion therapy, determine medical appropriateness, and manage IV treatment plans in accordance with clinic protocols Provide patient education regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and expectations Collaborate with nursing staff administering IV infusions and provide clinical oversight as needed Document visits accurately and efficiently in the EMR Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality, compliant, patient-centered care All care is delivered in alignment with clinic Standards of Care, protocols, and supervising/collaborating provider guidelines where applicable. --- Qualifications Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Board Certification (ANCC or AANP) in good standing in Illinois DEA registration and state controlled substance license (or ability to obtain) BLS certification required (ACLS preferred) Ability to practice independently or under a collaborative agreement, as required by state law Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills Experience managing patients with chronic or complex conditions Experience with or strong interest in functional or integrative medicine One year of functional medicine experience preferred, but not required Familiarity with hormone therapy, metabolic/weight management, and experience with advanced laboratory interpretation preferred Comfort evaluating patients for IV infusion therapy (training and protocols provided) Strong communication, patient education, and organizational skills Comfortable working in a new or growth-phase practice Experience with EMR systems Comfortable with telehealth and electronic prescribing platforms --- Compensation & Growth Starting pay: $60/hour Compensation increases based on performance, patient volume, clinical efficiency, and quality of care.
