Java Production Support Engineer
Overview:
In this role you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications while working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from analysis to testing and deployment, ensuring high-quality code and reliable operations. The position supports large-scale systems and requires hands-on work with modern Java frameworks and front-end tech. You'll grow through training, collaboration, and owning technical decisions that shape product roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
- Technical design, coding, and testing of applications
- Subject-matter expert for customer/internal discussions on software systems
- Develop and analyze interface design documentation and ensure compliance with standards
- Software analysis, requirements, and unit testing with automated tests
- Develop software solutions for enterprise environments and perform O&M of existing systems
- Provide high-level technical support, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers
Key requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent3–5 years of professional software development experience using Enterprise Java technologies
- Minimum 3 years APIM experience and production support experience 3+ years Java experience with JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, RESTful, AJAX, JSON, SQL, JUnit, Maven
- Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Security, Hibernate, MyBatisSolid front-end skills: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX; experience with Angular, React, JQueryKnowledge of JavaScript frameworks and integration technologies; SSO/OAuth2/IBM WebSeal a plus
