We’re constantly pushing the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines to patients, with a passion for discovery and a pipeline to show for it.Accountabilities:As part of the Critical Pipeline Reagent Sciences Group (CPRS) within the Purification Process Sciences R&D department, you will generate biopharmaceutical reagents to advance the R&D AstraZeneca pipeline. You will perform purifications for complex biopharmaceutical drugs, solve challenging protein purification problems, and coordinate closely with various departments to meet project timelines and company goals.Essential Skills/Experience:BS/MS with 2+ years experience in biopharmaceutical industry/academic labHighly team-oriented, energetic, critical thinker, organized, capable of multitasking with excellent oral and written skillsKnowledge of Basic Protein Chemistry, Protein Chromatography, Purification Process Design for Monoclonal Antibodies and Novel Proteins, Basic Analytical Techniques (HPLC and SDS-PAGE Analyses), Protein Modification by Conjugation, Statistics Software and DOE AnalysisExperience performing protein chromatography using Akta/Akta softwareExperience performing analytical testingDesirable Skills/Experience:GLP/GMP experienceExperience with purification process designAbility to troubleshoot and collaboratively resolve complex problems under tight time constraintsWhy AstraZeneca?At AstraZeneca, you'll be part of a community of highly qualified and motivated scientists.
