About the Role We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our local convenience store team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in a clean workspace, and is committed to providing a friendly experience for our neighborhood customers. As a key member of our staff, you will oversee daily transactions and ensure the shop remains well-stocked and inviting. Primary Responsibilities Transaction Management: Use our Point of Sale (POS) system to process sales, including the careful handling of cash and card payments. Regulatory Compliance: Strictly verify identification for all alcohol and tobacco purchases in accordance with state law. Inventory & Merchandising: Assist with receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and creating attractive product displays. Store Upkeep: Maintain a professional and tidy environment through light cleaning, organizing, and general storefront maintenance. Customer Engagement: Provide a welcoming atmosphere by assisting patrons with questions and resolving any issues promptly. Required Qualifications Age Mandate: Due to the sale of alcohol and tobacco, all applicants MUST be at least 21 years of age. Communication: Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Bilingual skills are valued but not required. Availability: We are looking for candidates with a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays. Reliability: You should live within a reasonable commute of the store and have a proven track record of punctuality. Aptitude: Basic math skills and comfort using digital checkout systems.
