You’ll work directly with ownership, have a voice in key business decisions, and help shape the financial future of a successful and growing organization.Even better—the current Controller is retiring after a successful tenure and will remain available to support training, knowledge transfer, and a smooth transition into the role.Responsibilities:Lead accounting and financial operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, cash management, and financial reportingOversee construction job costing, WIP reporting, billing, and revenue recognitionManage union payroll and related compliance requirementsPartner with project managers and operations to analyze project performance and profitabilityStrengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and reportingHelp lead the company’s planned transition from American Contractor to SageServe as a trusted financial partner to ownership and company leadershipQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field8+ years of accounting leadership experience within the construction industrySignificant experience in a union construction environmentStrong expertise in job costing, WIP schedules, construction billing, and revenue recognitionAdvanced Excel skillsA hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesIf you’re a proven construction accounting leader who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on, this is an opportunity to step into a strong organization where your expertise and ideas will have a visible impact.
