Knik Construction is looking for a part-time Truck Driver in Unalaska, AK. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of construction activities by operating various types of trucks including end/belly/side dumps, low boy, mixers, articulated and combination trucks.ResponsibilitiesOperate trucks in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of lifePerform daily safety and maintenance checksClean trucks as scheduled and/or requiredEnsure truck loads are safe and secure as required for specific operationsAdvise maintenance department of any requirements for maintenance or repairsPractice workplace safetyEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresPerform additional assignments as requiredRequirementsValid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)Minimum two years of driving experienceKnowledge of construction trucking operationsDemonstrated decision-making skillsAbility to work in a high-production environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to a high level of work qualityAbility to respond quickly and effectively under pressureAbility to work a flexible, part-time schedule, including changing hours based on project needs and Alaska’s construction seasonPre-hire drug test requiredAll employment offers are contingent on a satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug screen.
