Summary: Install and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions and/or visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action. Responsibilities: Uses hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment with other assemblers and support functions to produce products on time and with high level of quality. Performs validation and inspection of own work and within immediate work area Maintains adequate supplies and a neat and orderly work area Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order Maintains the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation May become involved with product testing Participates in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities. Provides feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause. Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor. Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Able to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above. Cross-trained in all assigned operations and/or is a specialist or SME in at least one involved process. Able to use a wide variety of tooling Works with moderately complex processes and challenging customer expectations Able to use independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision Works with complex product testing Serves as a mentor to lesser skilled employees Able to handle multiple and changing priorities Multi-skilled and/or possesses specialized knowledge Competent with reading and understanding of blueprints Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
