Description/Notes: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) serves as the “Architect” of the district’s technological enterprise ecosystem. This role defines the architecture, infrastructure and systemic vision to ensure enterprise is built, funded, and safe. The CTO is responsible for the foundation of the district’s technology-the infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and long-term financial sustainability through bonds and grants-ensuring a scalable environment capable of supporting advance AI and data initiatives.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, Master’s degree preferred; minimum of five years of senior level supervisory experience in a K-12 public education environment for a medium to large organization of 10,000 or more students.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Expert knowledge of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity frameworks, and multi-million-dollar bond management
Ability to monitor and implement laws, rules, and policies
Ability to plan and present information to a variety of audiences
Ability to exchange accurate information
Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the district’s credibility and operations
Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials; legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impact, and to make formal presentations
Ability to compute analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and/or to develop forecasts and computer models
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others
Strong professional, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
