If you thrive on speed, grit, and purpose - welcome to the frontier.Why This Role MattersAs an Electrical Engineer at Wild West Systems, you'll design the electronic backbone of our drone and munitions platforms - taking concepts from whiteboard to field-ready systems. You'll work directly with seasoned engineers across hardware, software, and mechanics to bring ideas into reality.You'll be part of a small, fast team where every design, every wire, and every test matters.What You'll DoElectrical Design: Develop electronic systems from schematic to PCB layout and production release (Altium preferred).Prototype & Test: Support bring-up and validation of boards, including signal integrity checks, power testing, and troubleshooting.Power Systems: Design and manage battery management, voltage regulation, and power distribution systems.Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, propulsion, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system function.Documentation: Produce detailed schematics, BOMs, and test procedures for builds.Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews, trade studies, and field tests to refine performance and reliability.Hands-On Work: Solder, wire, assemble, and debug - your designs don't just live in CAD.What You BringRequiredB.S. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or related field)2+ years of hands-on experience designing and testing electronic hardwareExperience with PCB design tools (Altium strongly preferred)Solid foundation in analog/digital circuits, grounding, and power integrityComfortable with lab tools - oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, soldering equipmentFamiliar with embedded hardware (MCUs, sensors, CAN/SPI/I²C/UART comms)Thrives in high-speed, hands-on, high-ownership environmentsU.S. citizen or ITAR-compliant status (green card, refugee/asylee, or eligible authorization)PreferredExperience in defense, aerospace, or robotics hardware designKnowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810)Exposure to motor drives, ignition systems, RF, or wireless linksFamiliarity with DFM/DFA and rugged design principlesIPC-related experience (IPC-A-600, CID/CID+)Experience with field testing or manufacturing supportWhy You'll Love It HereMission That Matters: Build systems protecting America and her allies.True Ownership: Small team, direct impact, zero bureaucracy.Elite Benefits:100% coverage for employee health, dental, and vision90% coverage for spouse/familyCulture of Action: Fast decisions, real results, no wasted time.Additional InfoOnsite position based in Great Neck, NYMust meet ITAR requirementsUses E-Verify for work authorizationNo staffing agencies - direct applicants onlyEqual Opportunity Employer📧 Apply: Recruiting@wws.incSalary: $115000 - $140000 per year
