If you're ready to push the limits and make an impact, you belong at Gotham FC.The Role:The Pro Player Pathway Certified Athletic Trainer will be a full-time member of our multidisciplinary team (MDT) while also be connected and aligned with our 1st team High Performance staff. This position will be specifically responsible for providing exceptional acute pitch-side care, player evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for our Gotham FC's 2nd team and Development Center (DC) players. Responsibilities will also include a close working relationship with our Performance Specialist to plan, deliver and monitor the return to play process as well as managing the day-to-day sports medicine operations.Key Responsibilities:Generic DutiesOversee sports medicine operations for Gotham FC 2nd team & Development Center (DC)Oversee player and staff medical care and needsAttend all scheduled training and games (home and away)Maintain and report on sports medicine budgetDeliver educational content during the annual talent ID tournamentMaintain good standing with NWSL, USSF, and other national team federationsAssist with vision and planning of the program's future growthSpecific DutiesSports Medicine OperationsBudget planning and upkeepEquipment management, travel planning/packingSupplies inventory and orderingPlayer medical appointment schedulingAthletic Training Room (ATR) organization and upkeepContractor management and schedulingApplied Sports MedicinePitch-side care, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitationApply and maintain the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for training and gamesOrganization of the sports medicine daily workflowManage treatments and rehabilitation timingManage all pre- and post-training player medical needsLead all rehabilitation programmingAssist in injury prevention programmingAssist with baseline assessments and post-injury re-assessmentCommunicate effectively on all player status updates and training limitationsEstablish and deliver a daily medical report systemSports Medicine AdministrationEnter and maintain all medical records on the club's athlete management systemMaintain records for all ATR supply use and OTC medication logPlayer medical appointment scheduling and insurance managementLead medical review and look ahead in weekly all-staff meetingRequired Qualifications:Post-graduate degree in Athletic TrainingMinimum 3 years' experience as a Certified Athletic TrainerNATABOC Certified Athletic TrainerEligible to be licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer in the state of New JerseyCurrent CPR certification for Healthcare ProvidersCapability & Other Characteristics:Be able to work under pressure for non-traditional hoursDemonstrate superb organizational skillsBe extremely diligent and meticulousAlways have a backup plan and remain adaptableSupport the Gotham FC forward vision & community initiativesMaintain a positive attitude and professionalismWork within the MDT and maintain healthy relationshipsExperience working with U18 athletes preferredExperience working in soccer and women's sports preferredLegally authorized to work in the United States.Location:This position is fully in-person, based at Gotham FC's soccer operations office and practice facility, currently located in Whippany, New Jersey. The person must be able and willing to attend all Gotham FC home games, away games and other business-related travel.
