Azure Security Lead

Role: Azure Security LeadLocation: Chicago, IL (Onsite)ContractRole Overview:We are seeking an experienced Azure Security Lead to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade security solutions across Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure security services, cloud governance, threat protection, and compliance, along with strong leadership skills to drive secure cloud adoption.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and implementation of Azure cloud security architecture and best practicesManage and configure Azure security services such as Azure Defender (Microsoft Defender for Cloud), Azure Sentinel (Microsoft Sentinel), Azure AD, Key Vault, and NSGsEstablish and enforce cloud security governance, policies, and compliance frameworks (ISO, NIST, CIS, etc.)Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and risk analysis across Azure workloadsMonitor and respond to security incidents, threats, and alerts using SIEM/SOAR toolsImplement Identity & Access Management (IAM) including RBAC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM)Secure cloud infrastructure including VMs, containers, storage, and networking componentsCollaborate with DevOps teams to integrate DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelinesConduct security audits, penetration testing coordination, and remediation planningLead and mentor a team of security engineers and act as a subject matter expert (SME)Work closely with stakeholders to ensure secure cloud migration and transformation initiatives
