Bid & Proposal Editor
KOMPAN U.S. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bid & Proposal Editor to elevate the quality, clarity, and compliance of written proposal materials submitted in response to formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from organizations nationwide.This role directly supports our mission to deliver innovative playground and outdoor fitness solutions to communities across the country. Reporting directly to the Bid & Proposal Manager, the Bid & Proposal Editor will work closely with our Bid & Proposal Analysts on projects within our North American market.The Bid & Proposal Editor plays an important role in ensuring the quality, clarity, and compliance of proposal submissions in response to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other formal solicitations. We exceed sustainability efforts and make it possible to lower carbon emissions by utilizing recycled ocean waste, consumer-recycled plastics, and textile waste to create playgrounds that are born green or made green.What You'll DoSupport Bid & Proposal Analysts by writing, editing, and packaging proposalsTailor standard content and write new content as it relates to the requirements set by the customer in the RFPsEnsure the proposal package has a consistent tone and structure based on the RFP requirementsEnsure timely digital or physical submission of proposals that are in full compliance with the RFPsMaintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging within our digital librariesCoordinate with the Marketing Department on any new company contentProvide support to cross-functional colleagues as neededWhat You'll NeedBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related fieldExceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to improve clarity, flow, and grammarProficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, and/or other equivalent applications for writing/editing/formatting proposals and presentationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate through software applications and cloud-based platformsSelf-motivated, proactive, and organized to handle multiple proposals at onceHighly organized, methodical, and detail-focusedA team player with strong interpersonal skills – collaborative, accommodating, and a great listenerA background working with proposals, bids, RFP coordination, contracts, or similar is preferred but not requiredExperience working in the playground or construction industry is preferred but not requiredExperience working with education or public-sector customers is preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with AI systems and their application in writing or content development is preferred but not requiredThe ideal candidate is an attentive listener and an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing. They are highly organized, comfortable working under strict deadlines, and adaptable when faced with incomplete or technical source material.
