Human Resources Generalist
SUMMARY OF POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITY: This position assists our Corporate HR leaders in a broad range of employee focused responsibilities. They will focus primarily on Employee Relations, Performance Management, Immigration and Visa related tasks, and Onboarding and Training initiatives. The ideal candidate will be an employee centered self-starter with strong attention to detail and focus on task execution. Essential Functions: Provide effective HR guidance to employees regarding absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change, progressive discipline/performance management, terminations, and all other employee-relations matters Support the administration and execution of personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development Develop and manage onboarding program, new-hire and safety orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance Assist the Payroll and benefits Manager with payroll processing, updates to employee files, and benefits changes as needed Collaborate with HR colleagues and act as the SME in the administration of Immigration and Visa processes Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TRAINING): Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in progressive Human Resource Specialist or Generalist role required Experience with ADP Workforce Now required Preferred Experience: Strong employee relations experience with the ability to independently handle investigations from start to finish ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to multi-task between competing priorities in a deadline driven environment Servant leader mindset with strong employee focus Executive presence with the ability to adapt communication relative to audience Ability to empathize and defuse sensitive or contentious employee issues Bilingual (Fluency in Spanish and English) Required Work Environment: This position will be primarily performed in an office environment, but may also take place in a manufacturing floor environment from time to time.Physical Demands: This position may be required to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds from time to time.
