Benefits Clerk
OverviewNaphCare is hiring a highly detail-oriented Benefits Clerk to join our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL .The qualified individual will perform day-to-day tasks relating to the employee benefit programs that include group health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, leave of absence and retirement programs. Duties include data entry of day-to-day transaction administration, open enrollment and new hire onboarding. The Benefits Clerk will deliver customer service, using time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The primary function of the job is to provide data entry into multiple systems, assuring timeliness and accuracy.Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple company entities, demonstrate strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.The Benefits Clerk will ensure accuracy and data integrity and will be responsible for handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the administration of all benefit programsAssist employees with benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolutionProcessing new enrollments, benefit changes and terminationsResponsible for coordinating with ADP to respond to unemployment and benefit verificationsEnsure compliance with ACA, DOL, ERISA, ADA, COBRA, FMLA and other state/federal regulationsMaintain and update employee benefit files, benefit database and other record keepingEnsure the accuracy of benefit enrollments and corresponding payroll deductionsOther duties as requiredQualifications Data entry experience preferredService-oriented; strong customer service skillsExperience with ADP Workforce Now preferredIntermediate MS Office skills, including Outlook and Excel requiredDemonstrated time management skills and attention to detailAnalytical and problem-solving skills with solution-oriented approachAbility to handle daily workload fluctuations and maintain productivityInnovative in process improvement for benefits and data administrationStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhy Join NaphCare?NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
