Structural Designer
Role DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Structural Designer to join our client in the engineering and industrial design industry. This role will focus on creating detailed structural models and drawings in Revit, including foundations, steel framing, and concrete/rebar features. The designer will work on two projects at a time, collaborating directly with engineers to review redlines and translate conceptual designs into accurate 3D models and 2D sheets with elevations. Responsibilities include producing cut sheets, ensuring compliance with building codes, and maintaining accuracy across multidisciplinary teams. The position requires conceptual problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to mentor junior team members while leading complex drawing packages.Qualifications4+ years of experience as a structural designerMinimum 1-2 years of hands-on Revit experience (Revit proficiency is most important)Strong foundation and steel design experienceAbility to model in 3D and produce accurate cut sheets and 2D viewsExperience working with concrete and rebar detailingSkilled at adapting to changing project requirements and environmentsAbility to interpret engineering redlines and translate them into Revit modelsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineersPreferred:Experience in manufacturing mills or industrial facilitiesFamiliarity with structural analysis software (RISA, SAP2000, STAAD, etc.)Rebar detailing expertise (highly desirable)Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related fieldExperience with project management and document control toolsCompensation:$28/hr to $42/hr.Hours:45-50 hours per week with Premium OT pay_____________________________________________________________________________________*Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
