1st Shift Material Handler - Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Fortress Nutrition is actively hiring for a 1st Shift Material Handler.The right candidate will have previous experience in Material Handling in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry, previous experience with Stand-Up Forklift Equipment and Cherry Picker experience and stable work history with previous employers.Standard Schedule:1st Shift:Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pmJob Summary:Working as part of the Warehouse team under supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, theMaterial Handlerwill maintain production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished products. This position will prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product for our facility.What You'll Do:Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.Efficiently stack and safely stores products in their designated area.Document material and supply disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.Document product shipments by recording units shipped.Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.Comply with OSHA standards; Learn and adhere to FDA and GMP standards.Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent2+ years of experience in a material handling role, preferably in food/beverage manufacturing or a regulated industryMust be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate in EnglishAbility to work overtime and/or weekends in order to complete orders according to business needsReliability, punctuality, strong sense of urgency and safety recordPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience driving Raymond Stand Up Pacers and Stand-Up Reach Trucks is strongly desiredPrevious experience with understanding of food safety/quality programs such as GMPs, Food Safety, etc.Physical Requirements:Frequently required to stand; walk; talk or hear; reach above shoulders; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, pinch or touch objects, controls, tools or equipment; kneel, crouch and use foot/feet to operate machinery; bend at the waist; climb or balanceOccasionally required to lift, carry, move, push or pull materials, product or equipment up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to ten (10) or more hours in a single shiftWhy Fortress Nutrition - Check out our Benefits & Perks!!1st Shift Material Handler Pay:$21.00 per hourPaid Time Off (PTO) Package9 Paid HolidaysDouble Time Pay For 50+ Hours Per Week!Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceHSA Plan Option with Quarterly Company ContributionCompany Paid Life & AD&D Insurance & Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance401(K) Plan with Company Match & Aggressive ROIEmployee Assistance Program$1,000 Referral Bonus - Uncapped!...and more!To apply for this position, please email your resume directly to .Please note, resumes that are not up to date will not be accepted or receive correspondence back.Fortress Nutrition is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
