WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANTThis role will support accounting activity tied to active projects, including cost tracking, billing support, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The Senior Project Accountant will help ensure project financials are accurate, timely, and aligned with internal accounting standards. This person will work closely with accounting, finance, and operational stakeholders to provide visibility into project performance. The role will support month-end close activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and project-related reporting. This individual will help identify process improvements, strengthen controls, and support cleaner financial workflows across the business. THE BACKGROUND THAT FITSExperience in project accounting, cost accounting, general ledger accounting, or a similar accounting function. Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting. Ability to track project costs, support billing or revenue-related activity, and communicate effectively with non-accounting stakeholders. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with ERP/accounting systems. Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
