z/TPF Specialist (Remote)

z/TPF Specialist Purisolve, Inc. seeks a talented z/TPF Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support the installation, customization, performance, and maintenance of enterprise server system software and hardware for the IBM z/TPF Operating System in a federal government environment. You will work directly with IRS computing center infrastructure, providing technical support, problem resolution, and remote training across the z/TPF and SACS processing environments. This is a 100% remote position requiring demonstrated expertise with IBM mainframe environments, including z/VM, and proficiency in IBM programming languages. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with specialized z/TPF systems and the discipline to maintain rigorous corporate security and compliance standards. Minimum General Experience: The individual shall have knowledge and experience with the hardware and software comprising the IRS z/TPF and SACS processing environments. The individual shall have specialized experience to include application knowledge and expertise on the z/VM Operating System. This position requires recent, demonstrated experience supporting z/TPF systems in an enterprise or government computing environment. Functional Responsibilities: Responsibilities include providing z/TPF Technical Support, Problem Resolution, and Remote Training for the Computing Centers, to include: Working on all z/TPF hardware and software, including the hardware and software comprising the IRS z/TPF and SACS processing environments, with specialized application knowledge and expertise on the z/VM Operating System. Applying recent knowledge of TCP/IP and MQSeries. Utilizing IBM languages including High-Level Assembler, "C", C++, and COBOL programming languages. Supporting the TPF Control Program, including applying Program Update Tape (PUT), assembling, linking, and installing new images. Demonstrating recent experience in System generation, Recoup, and capture/restore. Providing z/TPF support including development and maintenance of ECC specific procedures, checklists, and adherence to all corporate security policies. Supporting the IBM zSeries mainframes and any other hardware or software upgrades acquired by the Government for SACS and the z/TPF environment.
