Credit Analyst Lead - Commercial
We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst Lead to join our Credit team in St. Louis Park. Reporting to the VP of Credit Administration, this role will be primarily responsible for managing and developing a team of the Bank’s Credit Analysts. The role will also work collaboratively with department leaders to enhance the department’s credit and risk management processes within the commercial lending portfolio. In addition to managing a team, the role will support the underwriting needs of Lenders by evaluating the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for lending credit with the bank. The Credit Analyst Team Lead will work on larger and more complex transactions.Responsibilities Manage and develop a Credit Analyst team as follows:Establish individual development plans; determine individual training needs; provide ongoing one-on-one training; and conduct employee annual reviews and 5-5-5 meetingsAssign new loans, modifications and annual reviews to team membersMonitor quarterly risk reviews, construction draws, borrowing base accuracy, and performance covenantsEnsure completion of ongoing department tasks and goalsReview work product of team members for accuracy and consistencyMonitor credit presentations to ensure compliance with loan policies and department processesWork with credit department managers to enhance the department’s underwriting processesPromote positive, professional relationships with and among the credit analyst teamCollect, review and analyze loan requests, financial information and collateral evaluations for larger, more complex dealsPrepare credit presentations to be used in the credit approval process including: cash flow analysis, forecasting of future performance, industry trends, and loan performance historiesAssist lenders with closingsPrepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and recommendations on loan structure/pricing for lendersPrepare annual reviews of existing loan relationshipsStay abreast of industry and regulatory trends / changes affecting the departmentAdhere to the bank’s policies, procedures, security requirements and government regulationsAssist SVP of Credit Administration with loan portfolio risk management functionsProvide recommendations for expanding loan portfolio risk management processesQualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field4+ years of commercial lending underwriting experienceExperience leading a team is preferredSuperior analytical and reasoning skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsDemonstrated leadership, team building and management skillsAbout Bridgewater BankPicture yourself at one of the Twin Cities’ best places to work, surrounded by people who challenge you, support you, and inspire you to be your best.
