Java Lead with Python for AI / ML Solutions

Job Title: Java Lead with Python for AI / ML Solutions Location: San Leandro, CA (local to Bay area in-person interview required) Job Type: 6+ months Contract Experience Level: 8+ years Required Skills and Experience: 8+ years of Java development experience, including Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, multithreading, and microservices architecture. 2–4 years of Python experience, especially in implementing or integrating AI/ML solutions. Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, data preprocessing, model evaluation, and deployment techniques. Proficiency with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or Keras. Experience integrating Python ML models into Java applications using REST APIs, gRPC, or interoperability frameworks like Jython or Py4J. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices for deploying ML applications. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
