We’re looking for self-motivated coding professionals to join our remote coding services team.Inpatient Remote Medical Coder - Facility codingJob SummaryAs a Certified Inpatient Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will join a dynamic team of coding experts dedicated to delivering exceptional coding services to our valued clients. Your primary responsibility will be accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to inpatient medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesThoroughly review and analyze inpatient medical records to identify pertinent diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes to precisely reflect clinical documentation.Ensure the integrity and precision of coded data, including meticulous DRG assignment verification.Stay abreast of evolving coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices through continuous research.Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify documentation and gather supplementary information as required.Actively participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to uphold and enhance coding accuracy standards.Maintain optimal productivity levels while adhering to established coding quality and efficiency benchmarks.Uphold strict patient confidentiality and privacy standards in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.Minimum QualificationsPossession of one of the following AHIMA credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P; or one of the following AAPC credentials: CPC, COC, or CIC.Minimum of 1 year of experience in facility inpatient coding.Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and PCS coding systems, encompassing comprehensive knowledge of guidelines and conventions.
