Lead Security Officer

Lead Security Officer The Lead Security Officer is responsible for the leadership of the security operations at the CRISTA Shores location. Enforce policies and procedures at all times and work towards assuring a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff and property. Respond and investigate security related incidents, report safety hazards observed during patrol activity and appropriately document actions and observations during assigned shift. Conduct routine random patrols of CRISTA property. Schedule, coordinate, evaluate, train and support other Security Officers. Essential Functions: Emergency and Response Management: Respond rapidly and appropriately to emergencies by assisting residents, staff or visitors in a calm and professional manner. Contact appropriate staff and respond to their directions. Call local emergency responders when appropriate and take action in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Safety and Security Oversight: Patrol and monitor all areas of buildings and grounds. Conduct physical security checks and maintain logs. Monitor alarm systems. Resident and Visitor Support: Provide a high level of customer service to residents, visitors and staff. Offer information and assistance to residents and visitors. Manage after-hours visitor access, logs and badges. Assist residents in various situations. After Hours Operational Support: Transport trash to dumpsters and vacuum public areas. Set up, tear down seating in public areas. Support after-hours activities as needed. Equipment and Facility Monitoring: Check and log temperature and other readings on designated equipment. Respond to unusual readings in accordance with policy. Security Staff Management: Oversee daily security department operations. Schedule and coordinate coverage for time off. Train and assist Security Officers. Write, revise and implement CRISTA procedures. Manage security team assets. Incident and Hazard Response: Identify incidents, hazards and unauthorized activities. Respond according to the established protocols. Additional Duties: Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC). Supervisory Responsibilities Security Officers Essential Qualifications: Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.). Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA. Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices. Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC). Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC). Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two years' experience in general security duties or related field. Licensure / Certification: First Aid and CPR certified. Software / Equipment Knowledge: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office. Other Considerations: Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with seniors in a positive, courteous, confidential, and professional manner. Able to handle fast-paced environment. Good judgment in responding to routine, urgent, and emergency situations. Able to give and follow written/verbal instructions. Safety and security conscience. Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and customers. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of Security, law enforcement or military service.
