You’ll own customer problems end-to-end — from discovery and problem definition through to polished design and implementation. This role spans across platforms (web apps and mobile) and combines strong product thinking with high-quality craft.We’re looking for an experienced product designer who thrives in a fast-moving, remote-first environment and enjoys collaborating with product and engineering to deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions. Experience with creative tools or social/content creation products is a strong plus.What You'll DoLead design across web and mobile features, from early exploration to production-ready UIShape product direction by working closely with product and engineering to define problems and outcomesCreate sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIUse customer feedback, usage data, and design intuition to inform decisionsContribute to our design system and help establish consistent, scalable patternsPartner with engineers to ensure high-quality implementationShare and receive feedback in design critiques and async reviewsHelp improve how we work — process, tools, and collaboration across the teamWhat We're Looking For5+ years of product design experience across web and/or mobile appsStrong product sense and ability to frame problems around outcomes, not just interfacesHigh proficiency in Figma (components, auto layout, variants, etc.)Clear communicator who thrives in remote, async-first teamsSelf-starter who can manage time and deliver high-quality work independentlyStrong craft with excellent interaction and visual design skillsComfortable balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced, iterative environmentBonus PointsExperience designing for social, creative, or media-centric toolsStartup or early-stage product experienceInterest in motion design or mobile development constraintsAbout SlateSlate is a web and mobile creation platform used by leading brands to create on-brand social media content.
